We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on web frontend technologies to join a long-term project for a global monitoring and analytics provider. You will be working with an experienced development team based in India to help expand their existing video agent platform across multiple new environments.
This is a full-remote engagement and requires 3–8 years of relevant experience.
The client has developed a set of “video agents” — small SDKs used to control and monitor video players across browsers and devices (Android, Roku, iOS). The current goal is to extend this agent support to additional platforms like smart TVs, cloud-based players, and other connected devices.
Your task will be to lead the technical design and development of these cross-platform agents, helping to scale the system across an evolving set of video environments.
Collaboration as a contractor, fully remote.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of video agent expansion to new platforms
- Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams
- Develop SDKs and applications (not just UX) mainly using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Drive software development for connected devices, ensuring performance, maintainability, and reliability
- Contribute to the evolution of tools, patterns, and lifecycle practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3–8 years of experience in production-level software engineering
- Deep knowledge of video technologies (players, streaming, CTV ecosystems)
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with the MERN stack
- Familiarity with NPM and related packaging/distribution tools
- Experience with any of: Java, iOS (Swift/Obj-C), BrightScript
- Solid understanding of Git and version control best practices
- Problem-solving mindset with an analytical approach to complex systems
- Passion for learning new tools and frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
