We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our client, a top German public transport company.

Project context
The services of the contractor (service provider) will ensure that the appropriate infrastructure and platform tools are implemented and maintained. It also needs help automating software delivery, configuration, and management processes. This requires the planning and coordination of workshops to improve continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Advice on smooth application in
production and meeting business requirements is needed.
Tasks
- Implementing and maintaining infrastructure and platform tools, such as, but not limited to, cloud computing platforms, container orchestration and management tools
- Automate software deployment, configuration, and management processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Developing scripts and tools to automate repeatable tasks and processes
- Monitor and analyze system and application performance and availability
- Working with developers to ensure that applications in production run smoothly and meet Customer’s business requirements
- Promoting a culture of cooperation and continuous improvement between development and operations
- Adopt and implement DevOps practices, including Agile methodologies, continuous integration and deployment, and test automation
- Review the security of systems and applications, including access control, intrusion detection and prevention, and protection against cyber attacks
- Documentation of processes, systems and applications
- Evaluating new technologies and tools that improve DevOps practices can.
