DevOps Engineer in Prague


For our most important client a British multinational investment bank and financial services company with head ofice in London we looking for DevOps Engineer with Java, Angular JS, Spring Framework, Java Messaging and other technologies.

What will you be doing:

You will be focusing on implementing an efficient continuous build and deployment pipelines.

  • configuring maven build scripts to ensure consistent and scalable build process, maintaining Team City build and deployment configurations, creating Docker files, establishing code quality gates in Bitbucket and Sonar Cube, developing maven plugins to automate deployment tasks, implementing utility scripts and dashboards
  • the core technologies on the side of development are: Java, Angular JS, Spring Framework, Java Messaging, Oracle DB, Git, Jira and Sonar Cube and on the build, deployment and monitoring side: Maven, Maven Plugins, Nexus, Team City, Docker, EFK, Prometheus and Kibana

What we’re looking for:

  • git branching and merging strategies (e.g. GitFlow)
  • maven pom.xml files (e.g. attach a custom plugin to a build phase)
  • java development (e.g. develop a REST based maven plugin)
  • versioning an application (e.g. maven semantic versions and automating it)
  • advanced Team City features (e.g. setup a build pipeline, Kotlin DSL)
  • cloud infrastructure services (e.g. Openshift deployment and build jobs

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • bitbucket scripts and hooks (e.g. prevent pull request merges on low code coverage)
  • importance of documentation (e.g. generating automated release notes)
